Easy Sea-Glass Votive

It’s gorgeous weather! Half the fun of this project is collecting the glass by the shore, and nothing is easier than this luminous candleholder to show off sea-glass treasures. It makes a uniquely Northwest gift.  For another view of the votive and more ideas watch Nancy’s segment on KING5 New Day Northwest Show that aired this week to publicize her book By the Shore:  Explore the Pacific Northwest Like Local.

See below for a list of the best beaches to find sea-glass in the Puget Sound Region.

What you will need:

2 glass containers, one small enough to fit into the other with a half inch to spare

Votive candle

Place the smaller glass container into the larger one. Insert the sea-glass into the space between the jars one piece at a time, layer by layer, turning the jar as you fill it to keep it centered. Place the candle inside the smaller jar.
