Kids in the Kitchen: Crash Cookies

We pull out this recipe when life is stupid and boring and awful and you just want to smack something! Pound the way to peace with delicious abandon, for the more you squeeze and squash, the better the cookie!

What you will need:

3 cups oatmeal

1 1/2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups brown sugarP1030587

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 1/2 cups butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

 

The directions are simple: place all the ingredients in a large bowl and knead, squeeze, squish and rub everything together for as long as you want. Then drop walnut sized pieces of dough onto a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until done. Eat the cookies warm with a big glass of cold milk. Feel better now?
