10 Minute Blackberry Syrup


Serve up the love! This is fantastic on pancakes or ice cream.

3 cups blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Stir together the blackberries, sugar, lemon juice and water in a medium sized saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool. You can strain the syrup with a sieve into the jar if you want a clear syrup, or blend until smooth in a blender and strain out the seeds and pulp.  The syrup will last in the refrigerator for several weeks.
